JB Safety Consultants are pleased to offer a European service to fulfil the role of Responsible Person. The Responsible Person fee is charged per product for the lifetime of that product in the marketplace.  We are also delighted to offer US agent services for companies seeking a physical office and regulatory support for cosmetic products for the US market.

An EU responsible person must be designated for each product placed on the market. This person / company is required to ensure compliance of the products with the rules set out in the Cosmetics Regulation. 
They shall ensure compliance with requirements relating to human health, safety and consumer information. They are required to maintain a product information file accessible to the public authorities or if needed in the event of a medical emergency.

In case of product non-compliance, the responsible person shall take measures to make it compliant, withdraw it from the market or recall it to the manufacturing company in all Member States where the product is available. 

For the US, international companies based outside of the United States are required by MoCRA to appoint a US agent. This representative acts as a liaison between the company and the FDA bridging the gap between global business and the US regulatory framework.

Having an EU-based and/or UK Responsible Person enables individuals or companies in countries outside the EU to sell products in the EU without having to have a corporate location within the EU or UK. 

We provide a physical address as US Agent and for the EU holding PIF files in our satellite office in Grenoble, France.
